Random Thought of the Day

So, I've been wondering over the past few days...

What will life be like in nursing homes when our generation grows old? Will we stubbornly cling to Facebook, iPods, and other things considered "hip" by today's standards, or will we embrace what is considered new and innovative? How will our generation react to change in the world by that point?

Feel free to share your thoughts.

*I* will be positively the most feared and respected nursing home inhabitant there ever was, should I end up in such a droll establishment. I will get a nice fast wheelchair (possibly designing it when I'm able bodied) and careen through the halls, honking at the aides there and smiling toothlessly.

I will also send anonymous love letters to everyone in the home (assuming my wife is dead) and make it sound like I think they're my wife.

I will also be poking YOU on facebook, Mr. Huizinga. Never give up. NEVER SURRENDER!

Haha! I came across your blog and had to crack up at the vision of (frighteningly enough... me) an old lady in a wheel chair turning her ipod volume up full blast so she can hear it. LOL Let's hope that by the time we're old enough to be in nursing homes they won't have that vulgar institution any longer and families will take care of their own. Unheard of, but isn't that how it should be? :P
